Fox Smith, LLC is honored to be one of three hosts for the Missouri Minority Counsel Program sponsored by Mound City Bar Association, the Hispanic Bar Association of St. Louis, and the Missouri Asian American Bar Association on November 14, 2013. The Missouri Minority Counsel Program allows diverse attorneys to make business pitches to companies and build relationships with potential clients. The purpose of the program, which will be held November 14, 2013, from Noon to 7:00 p.m. in downtown St. Louis, is two-fold. It is aimed at both increasing job opportunities for minority attorneys and encouraging corporations and government agencies to hire diverse lawyers.
As part of the application process, participating companies pre-select the skill sets/practice areas that are needed by their organization. Minority lawyers are then given the opportunity to indicate those companies with which they want to meet. Company representatives will select candidates to interview based on their review of the submitted applications and resumes. After selections were made, 20-30 minute interviews have been scheduled to be held on November 14 at one of the three host firms.
