After winning summary judgment for his legal malpractice client in Illinois state court, Richard Korn has now prevailed on plaintiff’s appeal to the Illinois Appellate Court for the Fifth District. The suit stemmed from the client’s alleged handling of a personal injury case in which plaintiff claimed more than $750.000.00 in damages. Richard obtained summary judgment in the Circuit Court of Madison County based on a statute of limitations argument. On appeal, the appellate court agreed, and unanimously affirmed the trial court’s judgment.
