As a former Assistant Attorney General and legal counsel to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Sarah has experience navigating through the cumbersome and sometimes complicated regulatory requirements businesses face on a daily business. She provides legal counsel on a variety of federal, state, and local matters pertaining to environmental laws and policy. Whether it's responding to a violation notice or understanding a permit condition, Sarah works to find innovative and cost effective solutions to meet your needs.
Sarah has made numerous presentations before the regulated community, including the Chemical Industry Counsel of Illinois and the Missouri Water Environment Association on a wide variety of environmental "hot topics," such as NPDES permitting and stormwater management. Additionally, she currently serves as Chair of the Missouri Bar's Administrative Law Committee for the 2018-2019 bar year.

- Defended clients before the Administrative Hearing Commission on environmental permit appeals and professional license suspensions.
- Appeared before the Public Service Commission on energy efficiency matters in rate cases involving electric and natural gas utilities.
- Assisted the Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ counsel and staff with interpreting environmental statutes and regulations, drafting and implementing internal policies, and procedures, reviewing legislative and rule-making proposals, Sunshine Law compliance, negotiating permit terms, conditions and variance requests, and interfacing with the EPA, the regulated community, stakeholders, and the Department’s boards and commissions.
