Scott Gershenson focuses his practice in litigation with an emphasis on defending doctors, lawyers, real estate brokers, and other professionals accused of malpractice. He is also adept at handling personal injury matters and defending employment claims (both at the administrative level and in state and federal courts). Scott has experience representing clients at all stages of litigation, including pretrial investigation, motion practice, written discovery, depositions, mediation and settlement negotiation, trial, and appeal. With over a decade of experience in the courtroom and working on hundreds of matters, Scott feels at home in all aspects of representing clients and preparing a case for trial.
With experience in both plaintiff and defense practice, Scott brings a unique perspective to Fox Smith. He understands how plaintiff lawyers evaluate cases, and communicates with his clients about how best to respond to opposing tactics, discovery, and settlement demands. Scott’s work has helped clients reach successful conclusions, whether by motion practice, settlement, or trial. He is licensed in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Arkansas, and many federal courts. He is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. Also, Scott enjoys trying new restaurants, mixing cocktails, and visiting national parks.
