Transparency in Insurance Coverage Rules

In late 2020, the Departments of Labor (DOL), Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Treasury (Departments) issued the Transparency in Coverage Rules (TiC Final Rules) that was enacted as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021. The TiC rules are effective July 1, 2022, requiring group health plans and insurance carriers to disclose detailed pricing information in two separate Machine-Readable Files (MRFs).
