Fox Smith, LLC, founded by Ron Fox and John Smith in the spring of 2001, celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2011. Thanks to the valued relationships we have with our clients and the hard work of our members and employees, the firm, located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri, has tripled in size with respect to attorneys and more than doubled in overall staff size since opening. The firm now consists of thirty-five people, including lawyers and staff. We are fortunate to enjoy a significant presence at the national and regional levels for our environmental, class action, maritime, and product liability capabilities, working with clients from around the country. Additionally, much of our work takes place right here in the St. Louis metropolitan area, on behalf of local interests from both sides of the Mississippi River.
Although we work closely with many larger firms from around the country, we have chosen not to align with out-of-town firms or to open offices anywhere else. At the same time, since the firm’s inception we have expanded our St. Louis office space to more than double its original size while also expanding greatly the nature of services we offer our clients. We now maintain eleven practice areas: Admiralty, Class Action, Commercial Law, Complex Litigation (including Pharmaceutical Drugs and Products), Environmental Litigation, Health Law, Insurance Coverage, Personal Injury, Product Liability, Professional Liability, and Employment Law.
In recognition of our anniversary year, Fox Smith has scheduled a number of unique activities to not only honor and celebrate our people, but to further serve the interests of the communities of which we are a part. The anniversary activities include:
· Sponsoring a local “ice cream social” to benefit the Japanese earthquake victims
· Holding “Jeans Fridays” to benefit Sunshine Ministries
· A celebration luncheon for all firm members and employees
· Volunteered to work and serve dinner at Sunshine Ministries Homeless Shelter
· A celebration firm family picnic at a local park
